New information regarding Sony's PlayStation 3 plans, which could include the pricing, launch date and initial software line-up of the console, is set to be announced in Tokyo tomorrow at a specially convened Sony conference.

Sony today confirmed that the conference, which has been widely rumoured to be the venue for new PS3 announcements since last week, will take place at 3 PM local time (1 AM EST) in Tokyo tomorrow, and will be open to media and analysts as well as to Sony's publishing partners.

Sony today confirmed earlier media reports that the firm's new game console Playstation 3 would launch in November of this year - giving Microsoft's Xbox 360 a 12-month head start. The console was originally planned to be introduced in spring but has been delayed because of standardization problems around the Blu-ray format, Sony said.

J'ai hate de voir si ce délais va permettre d'avoir bcp de jeu au launch....ca serait un point fort entk si a Noel ya bcp de bon jeu de ps3...si jamais y sortent la console avec 3-4 jeux pi que la xbox est rendu a 40 bin la xbox va etre plus intéressante!

Oui mais attend de voir le prix de la ps3.. Ils l,ont meme dit qu'elle serait dispendieuse... meme moi si elle est 700$ je la veux pas.. le 360 va avoir bcp de bon jeux.

Pour la ps3 ma attendre 1 a 2 ans.. anyway comme j'ai pu constater la ps2 a durer 6 ans et la xbox 4 ans.c'est le seul defaut que je trouve au xbox.. trop courte duree de vie...( ah pis aussi pas de sti de RPG )

700$ c'est du ptit change pour toi ca! Mais anyway c'est les jeux qui font pencher la balance...c'est pour ca que je dit qu'il votn devoir préparer bcp de jeux pour compenser le retard de la sortie....je sais pas s'ils veulent fair eun world launch comme MS avec le 360....

J'ai hate de voir des jeux hot au 360 genre DefJam, Topspin 2, NHL 07....paske la j'ai pas le gout de m'en acheter une ces jours-ci!

Ben ya tom clancy's ghost recon warfighter qui est sorti... 9.2 sur 10 sur gamespot.. Y disent que c'est le plus beau jeu sur le 360.

A part ca ya rien d'autre.. meme moi je joeu pas avec la.. waiting for good games to come out.. which will be next christmast..

pis 700$ pour uen console + une deuxieme manette + une memory card ( long live HDD) + au moins 1 jeu.. ... t'es rendu a 1000$ aik les taxes.. non merci.. ma attendre 1 a 2 ans ou en acheter un used..

George Fornay, president of Sony computer Entertainment Europe, provided the first credible information on a possible price of Sony's next-generation game console. According to media reports, Fornay predicted a price range of 500 to 600 Euro, which could mean a price of at least $500 and as much as $750 for US consumers.
