Previously, AMD had reportedly scheduled the launch of the K8L platform for 2008.

AMD's first quad-core K8L desktop processor, the Altair, originally set to utilize the Socket AM3 connector, will be resident in Socket AM2+, indicated the makers.
Donc en gros AMD chie des tacs et veut pas perdre le marché si difficilement acquis...donc ils se grouille a sortir le quadcore plus vite que prévu..ce qui en résulte c'est que les premiers quadcore ne fonctionneront pas avec la DDR3 ...
