Following today's news that the Xbox 360 has proved to be the fastest selling home console of all time in the UK, beating the previous record holder, the GameCube, with an estimated 70,000 units sold in the opening weekend, Microsoft has released a statement re-affirming its intent to restock the console often, and to deliver 3 million consoles worldwide over the first three months.
Neil Thompson, Senior European Regional Director, Home and Entertainment Division, added his own placating message: "The demand for Xbox 360 has been incredible and we are well aware that many gamers are disappointed to have not got their Xbox 360 on day one. We are working around the clock to manufacture as many Xbox 360s as we can and are replenishing retail stores in Europe in the weeks coming up to Christmas."

from xbox scene...my guess is that anonymous probably mean "working for microsoft"An anonymous source sent tons of details of the Xbox 360 hardware and security to the guys over at xboxhacker.net.
It's pretty technical, including NAND dump info, physical memory dump details, logical mapping, physical address mapping, PCI config region, hypervisor details, kernel details, details of syscalls used as communication between kernel and hypervisor ... and much more.

Comme tu dis, probablement un gars de Microsoft, mais p-e un dude des partners de Microsoft, qui ont possiblement eu droit aux specs complètes, aka ATI par exemple...
Still, good news for us

Microsoft confirms 360 hard drive shortfall
What's in that inaccessible 7GB of space?
Microsoft has responded with an explanation for the missing 7GB of Xbox 360 hard drive space, following our story yesterday; only 13GB of the 20GB drive is available to users.
"4GB is provided for game 'caching' or other hard drive-specific experiences developers want to build for their game," said a Microsoft spokesperson, referring to the need for games to copy certain files from the game disc - which can be read only slowly - to the hard drive, where they can be accessed quickly.
At times the very quick dedicated memory, the RAM, may be in full use, so the cache is a relatively speedy (for a hard drive) section of disk where such files are temporarily stored.
Furthermore, "2GB is reserved to increase overall system functionality, including things like the Xbox emulator - to enable backwards compatibility - and console and title updates, to allow for continued innovation and expansion."
This leaves 1GB for the machine's operating system itself.
The console needs these resources and the drive is indeed 20GB, yet it's still like buying a '5-seat' car, only to find that the fuel tank is so big that there's only one seat left in the back.
Whatever the reasons, you will never store more than 13GB of stuff on 360's 20GB hard drive.

Tk on va surement pouvori foutre des HD de 200gig si on veut une fois que ca va etre hacké! Hacking rulez! Si MS faisait une console qui a de l'Allure on aurait pas besoin de la hacker
