Blizzcon attendees in Anaheim got a sneak peek of the new World of Warcraft Expansion Pack: The Burning Crusade. Hundreds of computers were set up so players could experience the new world, races and items. For the estimated four million WoW players, the expansion's most anticipated feature will probably be the raising of the level cap from 60 to 70.

Blizz était trop pas pret a sortir de l'information sur l'expension. Leurs serveurs doient leur prendre trop de temps, ils n'ont meme pas encore la nouvelle race de l'alliance et le preview est vraiment de mauvais qualité. On va voir quand ils vont finalement quelque de plus complet.

Blizzard Sued for Death of Gamer
In the latest saga over online gaming addiction in China, the parents of a 13-year-old Tianjin boy are suing the makers of World of Warcraft, blaming the game for the death of their son, according to the Chinese news agency Xinhua. The parents filed a suit against Blizzard Entertainment on Wednesday, saying their son jumped to his death while reenacting a scene from the game, the report said. The parents are backed by the anti-Internet addiction advocate Zhang Chunliang. Mr. Chunliang has spoken to 63 parents whose children have allegedly suffered from online gaming addiction and plans to file a class-action suit, according to the report.

Dozens of World of Warcraft servers were temporarily taken offline and updated this morning. Players logging onto the updated servers had to download the new 1.8.4 that weighed in at 35.6 MByte. In addition to fixing some bugs, the update adds in new quests and graphics to match the holiday season.
