A spokesperson for LG Electronics in North America confirmed to Reuters today that his company had sent a memo to its retailers, urging them to prepare for the release this fall of a high-definition video disc player capable of playing both HD DVD and Blu-ray formats. LG sells components in the US and Canada, including under the Zenith brand.

La meme chose qui est arriver quand les graveurs de DVD sont sorti. y avait le dvd-r et le dvd+r.. SOny a ete la premiere compagnie a sortir une graveur pour les 2. Maintenant c'est LG qui fait l'initiative aik les lecteurs. Peut etre y va faire la meme chose aik les graveurs.

Warner Home Video (WHV) announced late Thursday that it will release its first three movies on HD DVD on April 18. The launch will miss the introduction date of the first two HD DVD players later this month by at least three weeks. But Warner indicated that high definition movies on HD DVD may be priced slightly lower than movies on the competing Blu-ray format.
